Bundoora Extended Care Centre
Bundoora Extended Care Centre (BECC) provides specialist health and welfare services to approximately 18,000 elderly and younger disabled people living in North Eastern Melbourne and to Victorian veterans. Our clients have diseases and disabilities more commonly affecting older people but may include younger people with these types of conditions. The families and carers of these individuals are also regarded as clients of the program. Our clients live primarily in the local government areas of Banyule, Darebin, Nillumbik and Whittlesea, however, we recognise the benefits of providing services beyond these defined catchment areas where municipal boundaries may impede continuity of care.
Although our services are coordinated and delivered by staff based at the Centre, we aim to deliver care where quality and efficience are best assured. Services are therefore provided in the community and in client's homes as well as at the Centre.
