Friends of North Warrandyte
Friends of North Warrandyte (FONW): We are a community environmental group based in the North Warrandyte area. Our current focus is on rehabilitating the lower part of Stony Creek. We are also interested in starting up other groups further along the creek with the long term aim of covering the whole Stony Creek catchment area. In order to supply indigenous plants for our restoration work we have also started a small indigenous nursery. Our activities involve site management, weeding, seed collecting, plant propagation and planting, along with organised social activities, walks and talks from local experts. If you would like to either join our group, or start your own group in this area then please give us a call. We presently meet every two weeks on alternating Saturdays and Sundays, and once a month on a Monday (see our web site for meeting time details).
