MG Car Club of Victoria - Rob Roy Hill Climb

The MG Car Club is the largest one make car club in Australia and affiliated with the worldwide club which originated in the UK. In 1962 the Club, with Council approval, undertook the restoration of Rob Roy hillclimb. The origins of Rob Roy date back to 1935. The first meeting was conducted in 1937 and the track was bitumenised in 1939. At this time, Rob Roy shared the distinction with Shelsey Walsh and Prescott in the IK of being one of only three specially designed, bitumen surfaced hillclimbs in the world. Rob Roy is the oldest such hillclimb in Victoria.

Various events are conducted during the year but the most prestigious is the All Historic conducted in November each year which attracts local, interstate, and international entrants and spectators.
