Plenty Historical Society

The society was formed and incorporated as an association in 2001, and currently has 80 members. New members are welcome. The Society meets at the Plenty CFA at 8.00pm on the first Thursday of Feb,April,June,Aug,Oct(AGM) and Dec. The society is active in recording and preserving the history, culture and environment of Plenty and in working with the community in areas of mutual interest and benefit.

  • Plenty Historical Society Inc. does not have a permanent home at this time and meets at the Plenty CFA in Tan Yean Road, Plenty. We are appreciative of the willingness of the CFA in allowing us to do so.

The Society is working towards establishing a permanent home and a heritage park in the grounds of the Plenty Community Hall. Preliminary discussions have been held with Nillumbik Shire Council and the owners of the former Plenty Primary School in this regard.

Consideration will be given to provision of facilities and activities for people with a disability in any permanent facilities established.

With the exception of some outdoor activities, most of the Society's activities would be suitable for people with disabilities and every effort is made to cater for them wherever possible.
